What medium do you use...?Portraits are created using charcoal or pastel. Charcoal allows a free and expressive style on drawing and can be deliberately smudged to produce moody, atmospheric effects. What paper do you use...?Cartridge paper is used for all charcoal portraits, and special grain pastel paper is used for pastels. Back to TopHow is the portrait sent to me? Will it get damaged in the post ... ?Portraits will be carefully rolled up and sent to you in a cardboard tube. This is an ideal way to protect the paper, and will ensure the portrait arrives in perfect condition. All orders are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes insurance and a 'next day' service, at a cost of £10. Your receipt will be included in the package. Back to TopDo you offer a framing service ... ?No, because this would significantly increase the cost of postage and packing. Back to TopCan l order portraits from outside the UK ... ?Not currently no, but this service will be available in the near future. Back to TopWhat if i'm not completely satisfied with my portrait ... ?No problem. You will be emailed a photograph of the finished portrait for approval. If you are not happy just say so, there is no commitment. Back to TopCan l get additional copies of the portrait ... ?Yes you can. It's possible to have exact copies, enlargements, or even copied onto canvas. Just make a note of what you would like on the order form, or drop Sarah an email on enquiries@sarahpipe.co.uk. Prices vary depending on exactly what you require, so Sarah will contact you to discuss options. Back to TopWill l get my photograph back ... ?Yes, all photographs will be returned. Back to TopHow do you accept payment ... ?Payment is accepted by credit card or cheque. Click here for further details. Back to TopHow long will delivery take ... ?Completion time is currently within three weeks, (excluding delivery time). If, however, you need the portrait sooner, this shouldn't be a problem, just make sure you make a note of this on the order form. Back to TopWill my portrait be featured on the website ... ?Possibly, unless you would prefer it not to be, just tick the relevant box on the order form. Back to Top
